COACHELLA VALLEY MUSIC & FESTIVAL 2008
Was announced last night (Monday) at an event in Mexico City. Beyond the line-up announcement (see below), COACHELLA promoters detailed their plans to make tickets and travel packages directly available to music fans throughout Mexico.
“This is really a way for us to get closer to our fans throughout Latin America who have been supportive of Coachella for the past 10 years,” says Goldenvoice’s Paul Tollett.
The line-up for this year’s COACHELLA will feature:

Tickets for COACHELLA go on sale Friday, January 25 at 10:00 AM (PT) via TicketMaster charge-by-phone lines at (213) 480-3232 and at all TicketMaster retail ticket centers or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices are as follows: 3-day general admission: $269.00 + applicable service fees. Single day general admission: $90.00 + applicable service fees. Camping events: General admission camping: $55.00 per person + applicable service fees.
At the same time, promoters can now confirm preliminary details for the ALL POINTS WEST MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL. The three-day event is set for August 8, 9 and 10, 2008 at Liberty State Park in New Jersey. This historic location offers panoramic views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the Manhattan skyline. The festival’s name is inspired by the area’s rich history, particularly Ellis Island and the NJ Central Railroad terminal located on the festival site, where people boarded trains for ALL POINTS WEST. Additional details re the line-up, ticketing and other information for ALL POINTS WEST will be announced in the coming weeks.

Ticketmaster reports today they are not selling any more single day tickets to Coachella… at least for now.
The promoters are currently counting how many tickets have sold to see if they can release any more single day tickets, said Vidal, a sales supervisor for Ticketmaster in Los Angeles. For security reasons, he said he cannot provide his last name.
Vidal said that once promoters have counted the tickets, they could release the single day tickets as soon as tomorrow.
There are still quite a few tickets available for the event so chances are good the single day tickets will be available again, he said.
He said with large events such as Coachella or Hannah Montana, promoters often scale back on the number of tickets sold, or hold off on tickets sold, until they know how many are left.

Word of mouth has caused a rising popularity in Coachella.. Regardless of a lack of a good headliner line up this year, single-days are already sold out.. Three days will be sold out within a month I predict..
Although this board seems to hate Jack Johnson and thinks he ruined this year (I agree that Jack Johnson should not even be NEAR the lineup, but still am going). The undercard is still great, and no one can get past that. The people who can understand that Jack Johnson doesn’t affect Coachella at all and that if the lineup remained the same except without him would be awesome are real coachella fans.. Honestly you all know if JJ wasn’t on the lineup all you bitches would still come.. Fuck all you bitches who can’t stop BITCHING!!

Fortunately, every month there are a lot of events where one can enjoy his time and entertain his self. For example, there are great events that worth attendance like Coachella which provides different kinds of entertainment. And really this festival is ultimately attended. But every time in such hot events the problem of tickets is disturbing.
