The man who filed an official police report accusing Kevin Connolly (who plays Eric Murphy) of battering him at Villa nightclub on Saturday Night, says he’s dropping the matter.
Phillip Roby, who had claimed Connolly jumped over a table and struck with closed hands in the head this weekend, filed a battery report against the “Entourage” star this afternoon. But just a few minutes ago, Roby told Hypeline he just went to the Sheriff’s Department and told them “never mind.” He tells us he told deputies, “Look at me, I’m doing fine,” saying that he doesn’t want to pursue this any further.
Interestingly, cops tell’s us someone claiming to be Roby called to drop it, but they said he had to do it in person and so far no one has shown up. Hypeline sources tell us multiple witnesses dispute Roby’s story, claiming he was drowning in shots of Patron Silver and being aggressive in the nightclub, then starting an unrelated fight inside. One friends says he was actually thrown out and that Kevin never even put a finger on him.

Kevin Connolly hasn’t been seen with a girl in a while. I think he is doing exactly what he said he would and is going out of his way to stay out of a relationship. Kevin Connolly and Leonardo DiCaprio have been doing a lot of bar hopping and Las Vegas visits, and have been seen hanging out a topless pools, bachelorette parties, and with strippers. Even on “Entourage” since the one where Vince and Eric visit Billy at the filming of the porn movie, it seems he is always looking at or hanging on beautiful women and fans on his visit to The Pool at Harrahs Atlantic City!

Kevin Connolly did originally say he was trying to stay out of a relationship, but he is actively looking for someone again.
Unfortunately, our guy had his heart stomped on last year by Haylie Duff and Julianne Hough (who he met when she was helping him prepare for a new movie role and then dissed him very publicly after he was nothing but nice to her).
Most recently, he was trying to get to know some of the girls from The Hills and actually hooked up with Kristin Cavallari from Laguana Beach before Brody Jenner jumped in and “Stole her Away”.
Poor sweet Kevin Connolly would truly like to settle down like best bud Tobey Maguire and have a wife and family right now.
All the other stuff, the hanging with Leo at the clubs and the checking out young ladies, is a way to get through the lonely nights.
