Corey Haim (L)Things appeared to be looking up for Corey Haim when he died.Not only did the fallen 38-year-old actor have eight film projects in the works, but he also had a new love interest who wanted to rescue him from substance abuse.

After being introduced by Corey Feldman shortly before Haim died, he began dating 27-year-old Daisy de la Hoya, the wanna-be star of VH1 reality show Daisy of Love…

“I’m sooooooo devastated right now,” de la Hoya tweeted this morning. “This is the worst day ever I can’t believe this.”

The romance between the two was very new and never would have lasted long. “Daisy loved The Lost Boys, and she always had a crush on Corey,” a source close to De la Hoya tells us. “Their first official date was two weeks ago, but they’d been hanging out a little while before that. Corey invited her to the Playboy Mansion. Corey Feldman came, too.”

De la Hoya apparently wanted to help Haim with his struggles, we think. “Daisy knew Corey was doing a lot of drugs—especially prescription meds,” our source says. “She thought he was kind and talented, and she wanted to rescue him. She became his confidant over the last few weeks. He told her a lot.”

Although their relationship was new, De la Hoya was already excited about where things could lead. “They weren’t in an exclusive relationship, but they were having a lot of fun getting to know each other and seeing what would happen,” our source says. “Corey told Daisy she is a beautiful person with a beautiful heart.”

A rep for De la Hoya tells us she was “bawling and inconsolable” when she heard the news about Haim’s tragic death this morning.

De la Hoya also tweeted, “Why do I always fall for the lost soul? We could of been lost together, now your lost forever…. Ill miss you.”

Cheryl said Chad, however, hasn’t yet become a stand out in their seven days of rehearsal.

“He has the potential to be [as good as Emmitt], if he works hard,” Cheryl said. “It’s only the first week, but he’s made a lot of progress.”

Included is that progress is getting used to ballroom shoes. lol

Police in East Peoria, Ill., say they arrested 23-year-old Joshua Tel Warner early Thursday on the Oregon bank robbery warrant after a vehicle he was riding in was pulled over for a routine traffic stop. He was being held on $30,000 bail in the Tazewell County Jail.

Police in Eugene, Ore., say he is the same Josh Warner who appeared as a greenhorn deckhand on the king crab fishing boat Wizard in the “Deadliest Catch” earlier this year. The television reality show depicts the crab fishing industry in the treacherous Bering Sea near Alaska.

The warrant charges Warner with one bank robbery in 2007 and two in 2009.

Not a big secret that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been having quite a few problems in their relationship.

According to In Touch, the feud is getting worse after a blow-out on Brad’s 46th birthday on December 16. On that day, Angie had it out over the phone with Brad’s mom.

The fight all started when Pitt tried to convince Jolie to take their family over to visit his parents in Missouri for Christmas. Angelina got a little upset and shut that idea down. Angelina is still pissed that Jane Pitt (Brad’s mother) is still really close friends with Brad’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.

Jane Pitt demanded to know why she couldn’t see her grandkids for the holiday, Angie got on the phone and let her know why.

“Angelina fired back, telling Jane she’s sick of her interfering in her and Brad’s lives,” said a friend of the couple.

Angelina grew wear of the conversation she hung up the phone. This infuriated not only Jane, but her husband Bill as well.

Bill called Brad on December 20 and told Brad that Jolie “ruined the holidays.”

Angelina, for her part, isn’t feeling bad about any of it.

“She’s on his parent’s bad side. It’s another reason for Brad to leave her.

Plaxico Burress in jail

No champagne, no party hats, no poppers, or hookers this year for former NY Giants star Plaxico Burress will kick-off  2010 with an incarceration-approved portion of chicken and gravy.

Sources have obtained the menu from Oneida Correctional Facility, where Plaxico is currently serving a stint for that whole gun in a nightclub thing where he shot himself in the foot.  As far as the food goes, New Year’s Eve is the same as every other night.

Plaxico’s last dinner of 2009 will consist of:

Reports say Charlie was suspected of assault, menacing and criminal mischief. He was released on bail.

Charlie Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller as she tells her story.

She said that her husband, whom she identifies as Charlie Sheen, had a knife and that he threatened her.

“My husband had me with a knife. I was afraid for my life, and he threatened me,” Mueller, 32, told the operator.
